Normally, you would simply have some aspirins and take a rest. In other cases, you might be too well-accustomed to the pain that it practically becomes your best friend.

Migraine is a headache that is permanent. It means that while it comes and go, it doesn’t necessarily you are free of it.

Okay, so, maybe eating doesn’t count as a therapy, per se. But there is some truth when you hear someone saying that good health begins with good food. And, quite literally, when you eat literally, your body adjusts and it may improve your migraine.

Those who are prone to low blood sugar may expect migraine when they skip meals. Ideally, you should eat every five hours. Carry healthy snacks to still be able to keep up with daily intake requirement without gaining weight.

Physical therapy + acupuncture + biofeedback + massage.

Acupuncture is an ancient physical therapy with Asian origin that uses needles to pierce through the blocking of energy pathways.

Biofeedback is a method of teaching the body using electronic devices to control things you think happens involuntarily, such as heart rate and muscle tension.

Sleep.

Again, this is not a therapy per se, as it involves, well, sleeping. But lack of sleep and too much of it are capable of inducing migraine.

Relaxation.

Migraine is triggered by stress so relaxation is logically capable of alleviating or even preventing the disorder. A wide range of relaxation types is available for your choosing; pick one that fits your preferences.

Other types of physical therapy for migraines are even more physical as they involve your body in a more direct way.

Exercise.

Don’t choose exercise regimen that is to straining for your body and do it in regular basis.

Quit smoking.

Smoking leads to inflammation which leads to migraines.

Body weight.

Gaining weight leads to buildup of fat, which leads to inflammation, which leads to migraines.
